Style Spotlight is where we bring the understated of the K-pop's most stylish under the spotlight. This week, we decided that Kwon BoA deserves this more than any other due to her effortless, chic style off and on the screen. She may not be sexy nor an avant garde dresser but she's one fashionable lady in her own way. She's an avid fashion follower. She's always right on trend and always have the every girls' dream item on her personal shopping list. Not to mention, she's just like us- only 160 cm of height and an online shopping aficionado! Well now let's list down our Top 5 favorite looks from her.
1. The All-Black Chic
Tripping incident aside. BoA looks gorgeous in this outfit. Instead of her usual favorite skinnies, she pulled off the harem pants perfectly and here's a tip. Harem pants is always about the suitable length and what you're wearing on top. As for BoA, she went for a harem pants which flaunts her short height which she paired it with a bodyfit top and a chic black jacket with grey detailing and of course some hair flipping as well.
2. The Oversized Winter Jacket
Well if you're up for a challenge in the ridiculous cold Korean winter then BoA is here to tell you how. As much as the ophidiophobia in me, I'm still in love with how she pair the snake print boots with denim on denim. And of course, the winter jacket you just need to borrow from your significant other to keep warm. After all girls do leave their jackets at home on purpose usually don't they?
3. The TV Show
If there's one judge we can label as well-dressed, then BoA is the person. She shines as the K-pop Star judge not just for her competency in judging alongside two industry seniors but also for having a great style. From the studded sweater to a very very cool necklace, you named it she has it. I'm especially in love with her Maje jacket in this one which I figured she has purposely got in a size up.
4. The Airport Fashion
It's a rare thing to see BoA bares her leg these days so to see her like this is kind of surprising because it feels awkward somehow. I'm very used to seeing her with long pants but still this outfit has to be one of my favorite from her. She pulled of the socks with heels trend so well that she didn't look like she just got back from school nor has she borrowed her cousin sister's outfit.
5. The everyday look
In real life, BoA's style is much more laidback and is all about comfort. In this outfit, she dressed up like a lady with an edge. Despite the comfortness, the boots just made up for whatever is lack in this outfit and has enhanced the strong well-driven quality in her.
All in all, BoA is a trendsetter in her own way, she does follow the trend but she only take what fits her and what enhance her. She don't wear clothes that will make her look shorter than she already is, which is of course a good thing. She knows her flaws and try to cover it up. One of the reason why she's our style spotlight as it's not for just somebody who dresses up in pretty clothes but somebody who knows which pretty clothes that will look good on her.
