Lee Seung Gi returns with 'Forest'

"I only made it for the ladies" were Lee Seung Gi's exact words when asked on the process of making this album. My first thought was "Bring it on Seung Gi! I'll judge" while deep within I knew, it was going to be a good one and boy, I wasn't disappointed at all ! My spine tingles even at the first second of the music video. Lee Seung Gi's Forest is filled with warmth and sincerity. A 180 degrees turn for Lee Seung Gi and it couldn't be any better. Not only his vocal has improved so did his bona fide writing skill too. He did the right move to change as the current music trend is indie and this collaboration not only suceed in bringing Epitone Project to a much higher level but keep Lee Seung Gi 's relevant with the current music consumers' taste. Although I would never deny anything from Lee Seung Gi, it's good to be relevant and well accepted by everyone, not just me and not just Airens.

Ok it's true a smoother, emotional Lee Seung Gi was shown through his self-composed "The Words I Love You" but my favorite song has to be "Looking Back"- the wistful title track itself. Although Lee Seung Gi himself is the best thing in this album but the lyrics in "Looking Back" pushed all the right buttons and got me hooked after listening to the first two lines that has been played on Running Man and KBS Entertainment TV previously. It did a brilliant job reminding the good times I had in the past while as well being a good reminder that I am content to be here right now. It did heals.
Nothing better than being able to emotionally relate to the song itself because after all it's what music is all about. To satisfy your soul in their own way. This wistful ballad did just the same. Lee Seung Gi, you make me want to give you a good bear hug for doing such an amazing job on this album. We've all missed your delicious voice. Those behind the scene, Epitone Project, the fan who gave Lee Seung Gi Epitone Project's CD, the actress who said Epitone was good - all of you deserve equal credits. This would not have happened if it were not for you guys. Good job for bringing Lee Seung Gi and Epitone Project together as this is the best of Lee Seung Gi so far. I'm sucha proud dongsaeng to see Lee Seung Gi grows into a true man and I sincerely hope he can keep healing not just Airens but music-lovers all around the world because after all that's what he's best at. Take all the cooking classes you can Lee Seung Gi oppa but I still think you're most charming when you make good music. And, it is really only for the ladies. Sorry boys!

Ok the music video is  E-T-H-E-R-E-A-L. To describe it in a fashion adjective wise, this is Marchesa. We all need a good reminder of the Narnia days. In this MV, Lee Seung Gi looks back to the old days and his unforgettable first love and he wonders where would they be right now if they're still together. Watch for yourself and be impressed on how beautiful the music video is. Even if you don't understand korean language, you will find it easy to understand this MV. A beautiful first love story with a not so happy ending. Oh koreans, it has been such a long time since you release such music video. Something not so mind-boggling.
