Today's talk : What's the big fuss about 'Super 7' Concert?

As we've posted earlier, Leessang Gil and Gary are both stepping down from their respective variety positions due to the cancellation of 'Super 7' concert that left them with so much guilt. We have done the research for you and found out why it's such a big fuss.

It's a big issue in Korea and we were left wondering why. 'Super 7' concert is planned by Leessang Company featuring 7 cast members of Infinity Challenge planned to take place on this upcoming November 24th and 25th. It is however not a concert related with MBC or 'Infinity Challenge' in  any way. The concert was planned when the strike at MBC was taking place and as the strike lengthened Kim Jang Hoon was requested by the Infinity Challenge members to take the role as the director and planner of the concert due to their lack of skills and experience in planning a large-scale concert. They're gagmen and variety people, they don't [usually] sing on stage.

Leessang Company stated that, they were focusing on the concert-quality aspect more than anything else that they've overlooked some of the important matters. The concert is not free and the ticket is very highly priced. It costs $140 USD instead of the usual $80 USD. Netizens think that it's very unreasonable as they are not even real performers so why is the price so high? Well, as Leessang Company said they were aiming to put out a high quality stage performance but with such a costly price does that mean even Big Bang's concert (which only cost $80) is not high quality enough? That however, we can't answer you as we've never attend concerts in Korea. The blame too cannot be put 100% on Leessang Company as well ; they themselves are new in organizing large-scale events, they are in a way or another inexperienced.

Besides, the time of the concert itself is contradicting. If the concert is not cancelled, it would have taken place the same time as the broadcast of Infinity Challenge. If you're a fan of Infinity Challenge, are you planning to attend the concert or watch them on TV? Do either, you're left guilty to the other. This will also cause a drop of rating if most of the viewers attend the concert instead.

In conclusion, the concert with many weaknesses that make the viewers uncomfortable lead to the decision of cancelling it. Many people asked why do netizens need to do this when Leessang actually don't deserve it? We're not planning to take sides but netizens have the right to complain on the weaknesses but maybe they have slightly gotten overboard with it. Leessang on the other hand made the decision to step down as they feel guilty due to their lack of skills a concert got cancelled. Do you think you will feel okay to laugh and make jokes out of things while the viewers are watching skeptically over you? It's a two sided game but a one way road. Although we are absolutely emphasizing the fact that we are not taking sides of any of them we just think that maybe Leessang needs time. They need to focus on the management of Leessang Company in order to show the viewers, spectators a better side of them.

We really hope that people will stop blaming any sides, decisions are made not aimlessly as they surely are reasons to everything. There may be reasons that we don't know and will never know.
