Todays' talk : Casting for Iris 2

Today's talk calls for Iris 2 sequel that became the talk of korean entertainment industry as Taewon Entertainment confirmed the casting of A-list actors & actresses for this big budget action sequel which is set to begin filming this coming October. Taewon Entertainment is planning to make use of Iris what we think as already passed popularity with a sequel to follow. As Kim Tae Hee & Lee Byung Hun (the original cast) decided that they will not be a part of the sequel, people start questioning who might be able to replace this power couple? As far as we all already knew, Jae Hyuk & Lee Dae Hae is set to be.

On September 19th, Taewon Entertainment revealed that not just Jae Hyuk & Lee Dae Hae will be part of the sequel, B2ST's Yoon Du Jun, Mblaq's Lee Joon & Kara's Kang Ji Young too wil join the cast of Iris 2. Despite so, there is no definite decision from Cube Entertainment and Lee Joon's representative up till now. Although from a fan point of view, I'm hyped to see my favorite idol on small screen, but from another view I'm thinking that casting actor-dol is only to increase the hype of the drama that is set to air February 2013.

I'm not sure what the production team has up their sleeves but they should have strike when the iron is hot. After 3 years, the story might not even be fresh in anyone's mind anymore. Lee Dae Hae who is said to be playing the leading lady to Jang Hyuk who has already received the script for Iris 2.

What's interesting to note is the fact that this will be the third time they have work together. They have worked previously for Chuno and Robbers. Suffice to say, they are one of k-drama lovers favorite couple due to their great chemistry together. As for the rest of the cast,Oh Yeon Su, Kim Yeong Chul, Kim Seung Woo, Kim Min Jung and Im Su Hyang were revealed to be taking part in Iris 2.

With Taewon Entertainment past work like Athena (I'm sorry, it was a great cast but plotwise, it was a total failure) ,I have to say I am going always to be in the dark as for the reason why they even bother to do a sequel. Although I still see a glimmer of hope somewhere in between with a great cast on the line , I'm not that confident if it will be worth my time to sit through another sequel of Iris.
